Join Southside ReLeaf for a Lunch & Learn in Swansboro West as part of Richmond Tree Week!
What?
Our Lunch & Learn educational events gather neighbors in greenspaces around Southside to learn about the history of the Southside of Richmond, share what greening work is all about, and explore ways residents can get involved in increasing the sustainability and climate resilience of our communities.
When?
Our next Lunch & Learn will be on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm.
Where?
We’ll be gathering at Swansboro Elementary School (in the space behind the pool and the school). The address is 3160 Midlothian Turnpike.
Who should attend?
All are welcome! This event is free and open to the public. We encourage neighbors of Swansboro West to attend and actively participate in this event, as we will be focusing on ways to make a positive environmental impact in this area of Southside. Everyone who attends will enjoy the opportunity to share knowledge, have interactive discussions, and network with like-minded individuals.
What should I bring?
Please bring a refillable water bottle and dress for the weather. We will be providing free lunch to all attendees from a local restaurant.
Do I need to sign up?
Yes! Please sign-up using this form through CFengage to ensure we have an accurate headcount for lunch. If you have any questions, please email Lisa at lisa@southsidereleaf.org.
